Catherine I. Klima-Silberg is a registered patent attorney and shareholder practicing in mechanical and electro-mechanical patent prosecution, including extensive patent prosecution and opinion work relating to medical devices. Catherine received her undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (B.S., 1991). From 1991 until 1993, she worked as a mechanical design engineer for Honeywell, Microswitch Division in Freeport, Illinois, designing, prototyping, testing, and developing manufacturing processes for various components such as industrial sensors. After working at Honeywell, Catherine received her law degree from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, Illinois (J.D., magna cum laude, 1996) and was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1996 and to the Minnesota Bar in 1997. Catherine is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, the Minnesota Intellectual Property Law Association, and also the American Intellectual Property Law Association. She is currently serving as the President of the Minnesota Intellectual Property Law Association.
