David C. Peterson is a registered patent attorney practicing in the areas of mechanical and electrical arts, with extensive experience in a number of areas, including semiconductor architecture/fabrication and medical devices. David's patent practice includes patent preparation and prosecution, opinions of counsel, and licensing. David received his undergraduate degree in materials science and engineering from the University of Minnesota Institute of Technology (BS MatSci, 1993). David worked as an engineer at Hutchinson Technology Inc. in materials research and development prior to his career in law. Specific areas of engineering practice included friction and wear technology, laser surface modification, metallurgy/tool materials, and thin film characterization. He received his law degree from the University of Minnesota (JD, 2000).
