Rod L. Lacy is a registered patent attorney practicing intellectual property law with an emphasis on computer hardware and complex computer software. Rod received a B.A. in Mathematics and Computer Science from St. Olaf College (1981) and a J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law (magna cum laude, 1993) where he represented William Mitchell at the regional stage of the Giles S. Rich Intellectual Property Moot Court competition. Prior to joining the firm, Rod worked for sixteen years as a software engineer and senior consultant, gaining expertise in a wide range of technologies including interactive computer graphics, networking, operating systems, databases, client-server computing and object oriented programming. Rod is licensed to practice in Minnesota and is a member of the Intellectual Property Law Section of the American Bar Association and the Computer Law Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association.
