ALEXANDRA M. DIRLAM is a technical specialist supporting biotechnology and chemical practice at SLW. Alex received her B.S. in Cell and Structural Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she worked as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute research fellow. Alex also received her Ph.D. in Immunology from the University of Chicago. Her thesis work investigated functions for the Rb tumor suppressor and E2f transcription factors in hematopoietic development using mouse models. Alex's research experience includes extensive use of molecular and cellular biology in the fields of neuroscience, immunology, oncology and developmental biology.
