Andrew R. Peret is a registered patent attorney with expertise in the area of mechanical and electrical/mechanical patent prosecution. Andrew has earned an engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (BSME 1989) and has also earned a law degree and a Master of Intellectual Property degree from Franklin Pierce Law Center in Concord, New Hampshire (JD, MIP, 1996). Prior to attending law school, Andrew worked for Allen-Bradley (now Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley) as a manufacturing engineer. Andrew also worked at Eaton Corporation as an electrical design engineer. At Eaton, Andrew worked on the development of a single-phase bypass contactor for solid state motor starters which resulted in Andrew becoming an inventor on U.S. Patent No. 5,337,214. During law school, Andrew was an intern in the Corporate Licensing Office of Digital Equipment Corporation in Maynard, Massachusetts. At DEC, Andrew evaluated technology and drafted software licenses. Andrew's professional memberships include the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the American Bar Association, and the Wisconsin Intellectual Property Law Association.
