Louis Leichter is a registered patent attorney practicing in the area of chemistry, including, organic chemistry, and imaging science. Lou grew up in Brooklyn, NY where he received a B.S. in chemistry (cum laude) from Brooklyn College. He received a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from The Ohio State University, and then completed post-doctoral research in organic synthesis at the University of Alberta and the University of Wisconsin. Lou was a R&D chemist with 3M and a Patent Liaison with 3M, Imation, and Eastman Kodak before attending law school and receiving a J.D. (cum laude) from William Mitchell College of Law. Lou’s ability to “make the molecules behave” resulted in his being named an inventor on 17 U.S. Patents. Lou is admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. For relaxation, Lou enjoys reading history.
