Rakesh Michael is a registered patent attorney and an associate in the Silicon Valley office of Schwegman, Lundberg & Woessner. He received his B.S.E. degree in Computer Engineering, cum laude, from the University of Michigan in 2005, and his J.D. degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 2008, where he served as an Associate Editor for the Michigan Telecommunications and Technology Law Review. Mr. Michael interned as a Patent Examiner for the United States Patent & Trademark Office while completing his undergraduate degree. Before joining Schwegman, Lundberg & Woessner, he was an associate at an IP boutique in New York City. Mr. Michael has an extensive background in intellectual property law focusing on U.S. patent prosecution as well as foreign intellectual property protection matters, generally in the technical areas of internet-based technologies, business methods, networking, software, electronics and computers.
