Robert Mates is a registered patent attorney practicing in the electro-mechanical, electronic, and computer arts. Robert received a B.S.M.E. from Michigan State University in 1986 and a M.S.M.E. from the University of Wisconsin in 1987. Robert was an Examiner in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office from 1989 to 1991. Robert obtained his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1994, and a B.S.E.E. from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1996. Prior to joining Schwegman, Lundberg & Woessner, he was an associate with Seed and Berry in Seattle, Washington. Robert is admitted to the bar in Minnesota, New York and Washington.
