Walter Nielsen -- Walt is a registered patent attorney having expertise in the areas of computer software and hardware, communications systems, semiconductor circuits and packaging, business methods, and electronics. Walt has a wide range of intellectual property experience, including three years as a patent examiner in the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, one-and-a-half years with AccuRay Inc.'s computer-based process control business, four years at Honeywell Inc.'s large computer system business, and twenty-one years at Motorola, Inc., where he founded Motorola's European Patent Department and was a Division Counsel for computer systems, new enterprises, and satellite telecommunications. He has been “Of Counsel” at Schwegman, Lundberg & Woessner since 1999. His practice focuses on patent drafting, patent prosecution, and quality review. Walt is a member of the Arizona State Bar Intellectual Property Section and the Virginia Bar Association, and he is a former Board Member of the Arizona Patent Law Association.
