INNOMAX® was originally developed as a one day seminar held at SLW’s Minneapolis’ offices. It was created for clients and their employees to learn more about patents and trademarks and protecting their intellectual property.
Due to SLW having clients throughout the country, we have decided to revamp the INNOMAX® program from a seminar to a webinar and make it available not just to our clients but to anyone who is interested in learning more about the patent and trademark process.
Developed by SLW, the INNOMAX® series consists of short, intensive training sessions in the practical aspects of IP. Topics range from obtaining and enforcing valuable legal rights for intellectual property to avoiding expensive problems with the intellectual property of others.
The half-day sessions focus on providing quality insight and training in the field of IP, and are taught by some of the firm's most seasoned attorneys. The reason for offering INNOMAX® is simple: Every company has assets, but not every company effectively converts them to enforceable intellectual property. The experienced attorneys at SLW know the practical as well as the theoretical aspects of their subjects, and deal with the individual needs of development and management personnel.
INNOMAX® courses are broken down into targeted sessions, depending on the role of the participant: "Recognizing and acting on patent opportunities" for engineers, programmers, and technical managers, "Protecting product and company identity" for marketing and management, and "Intellectual property portfolios and procedures" for executives.
Each session may serve as an introduction, refresher, or an orientation for new or long-time employees of large and small corporations and companies active in developing new products, universities active in pursuing breakthrough discoveries, and individuals, small companies, and start-up companies just beginning to develop new products.
