Bev Ouzman is a Chartered Patent Attorney in the UK, Registered UK Trademark Attorney, European Patent Attorney and Community Trademark and Designs Attorney.
She has a BA (Hons) from Oxford University in Biochemistry with Chemical Pharmacology as a supplementary subject and Certificate in Intellectual Property law from Queen Mary and Westfield College. Bev has over 20 years’ experience as a qualified patent and trademark attorney. She enjoys all aspects of IP and has vast experience in advising clients ranging from individuals and SMEs to large corporates, as well as Universities, Research Institutes and spin-out companies.
Bev has particular expertise in life sciences and biotechnology. She has handled technologies ranging from pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, nanotechnology, stem cells, viral vectors, genetic constructs, plant and protein biochemistry, to medical devices and simple household appliances.
Bev was elected as a Council member for the UK Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys in 2011 and still serves on Council. She has been active for many years in the education of trainee UK patent attorneys and is now an Examiner for the UK Final Diploma examinations which lead to qualification as a UK patent attorney.
