Quantum Computing Episode 1: A Practical Guide to Quantum Technology for Patent Practitioners
This webinar for patent practitioners will present a technical overview of different technologies implicated in the world of quantum physics and quantum computing. Patent agent Laura Kinnischtzke, Ph.D., will explore topics ranging from cryogenic systems to photonics to quantum algorithms. Join us for a look at this fascinating field as it relates to patent law, moderated by patent attorney Matthew Norwood.
Dr. Laura Kinnischtzke has industry and research experience in the technology areas of quantum information technology and science, imaging hardware, semiconductors and processes, circuits, data acquisition systems and data processing, and image/graphics processing/analysis software. She earned a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Rochester in 2017, where her Ph.D. thesis was entitled, “Quantum Dot Photonics.” She is a patent agent at SLW, and is admitted at the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Matt Norwood is a patent attorney at SLW. His practice is focused on preparing and prosecuting patent applications before the USPTO. He has experience in a wide range of industries, including semiconductors, artificial intelligence, silicon photonics, robotics, optics, process automation, non-destructive testing, telecommunications, user interfaces, and medical devices.
