Overview

Alex assists clients with the full range of patent activities, including drafting and prosecuting domestic and international patent applications, managing global patent portfolios, conducting freedom-to-operate and patentability analyses, and supporting due diligence in connection with venture capital investment and M&A transactions.

She has extensive experience with next-generation cell therapies, including CAR-T and CAR-B cell technologies, as well as RNA-based therapeutics such as mRNA vaccines and lipid nanoparticle delivery systems. Alex is well-versed in CRISPR-Cas genome editing, bispecific and anti-CD20 antibodies, gene therapy vectors, and large molecule biologics.

Alex also has a significant background in patent litigation, including Hatch-Waxman, PTAB and IPR proceedings. Alex’s litigation experience informs her daily patent prosecution strategies, making her a strong client advocate.
