Overview

Mr. John D. Magluyan began his career as a software developer for a global IT company and transitioned to the patent department of that company during law school.  His exposure to the company’s various technologies, and their tie-in to business objectives confirmed his decision to switch from developing software to protecting innovation.

With over 20 years of experience as a patent attorney, John is well equipped to counsel and advise on a broad range of intellectual property matters.  He regularly assists his clients through the preparation and prosecution of patent applications.  He is also well-versed in rendering opinions concerning infringement and validity of patents, pre-litigation analysis, and investor due diligence.

John represents clients in various fields, including artificial intelligence, internet technologies, cloud and network computing, image processing, operating systems, navigation systems, and medical devices.  He welcomes the opportunity to learn about a prospective or existing client’s technology and business.
