Alexis is a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and has focused on patent prosecution and intellectual property for over thirteen years. Focusing her practice on helping clients to obtain intellectual property assets, Alexis works on the full spectrum of patent prosecution strategies and patent portfolio development.
Alexis’ concentration is in preparing and prosecuting domestic and international patent applications for clients in the software, cloud computing, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and telecommunications industries, as well as consumer products. She also handles patent reexamination proceedings, advises on patent validity and infringement matters, freedom-to-practice opinions, patent portfolio strategy, and open-source matters.
In 2018, Alexis returned to school to work on her LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law and Policy at the University of Washington School of Law. This degree expanded her work to IP licensing, contracts, and IP business practices.
In addition, Alexis prepares and prosecutes domestic and foreign trademark applications, assists clients in registering works with the Copyright Office, and addresses copyright-ownership matters.
When not in the Office, Alexis can be found hiking in the backcountry of Washington state or cave diving around the world.
