Amazon's European 1-Click Patent Treated as Statutory Subject Matter by EPO Board

Good news and bad news for Amazon. While the EPO’s Board of Appeals struck down Amazon’s EPO application for “1-click” online ordering on the basis of lack of inventive step, the good news is that the Board did not object to the case based on subject matter eligibility.
