Design of Medical Devices Conference, China 2018

Schwegman is proud to support the University of Minnesota and sponsor the 2018 Design of Medical Devices Conference in Beijing, China (December 10-12). The conference aims to strengthen the cooperation between the academic world and industry, facilitate medical device-related policies, and research/education at the University of Minnesota and around the world.

With the theme of “international exchanges and technological innovation”, the DMD Conference will focus on policy interpretations on China and international medical devices, hot directions of medical devices, medical devices training, technology release of advanced medical technology projects, connection of projects, and an exhibition section. The conference attracts world-class designers, research scholars, approving authorities, manufacturers, healthcare organizations and public management departments in the medical device field.

Representing Schwegman will be Principal patent attorney, Doug Portnow.  Doug is teaming up with Executive Vice President and patent attorney Dr. Deshan Li of Unitalen Attorneys at Law to present on IP law pertaining to medical devices and how to build an IP portfolio while managing a budget, enforcement, and due diligence.
