OutFront Gala Celebrates Progress Toward a Safe, Accepting Environment

Looking for a way to help support a safe, inclusive living environment for everyone? Consider attending the 2019 OutFront Gala. The event takes place on Saturday, November 23 at Union Depot in St. Paul. The OutFront Gala celebrates the progress of OutFront Minnesota, an organization that works to ensure people of all sexual orientations can thrive and be themselves without fear. Schwegman Lundberg & Woessner, P.A. is honored to be a sponsor of this event.

The mission of OutFront Minnesota is, “to create a state where lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people are free to be who they are, love who they love, and live without fear of violence, harassment or discrimination.” The organization’s focus areas include community organizing and coalition building, public policy, anti-violence, law, education and training, and a youth and schools network.

The 2019 OutFront Gala kicks off at 5:30 p.m. with a reception and silent auction. A dinner and program follows at 7 p.m. Then, at 10 p.m., guests can enjoy an afterparty.

“I’m happy that our firm is able to support OutFront Minnesota,” Schwegman principal Timothy Christman explains. “One of our core beliefs is that every individual deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, to realize their full potential with the support of the law and without fear of violence or mistreatment.  There is still much work to be done and OutFront can help.”

Schwegman believes that involvement in the Twin Cities, Silicon Valley community, and Austin, as well as other communities where our satellite attorneys live and work, is an important part of our work and mission. Other examples include: sponsoring a team for the Twin Cities AIDS walk, helping to build a home (with money and workers) as part of Habit For Humanity, and sponsoring seven families as part of the Salvation Army’s Adopt-A-Family program.
